Discussion > '09 TdF - Open Season!

As per Camille's last comment,

"I humbly vote for a new post with a Tour-related title, and declaring it open season on dissecting how it all might pan out. I bet we'd have some biters here.

I say Lance at Least on the podium if not right in the middle. :) Yeah yeah, that's really brilliant and likely but hey, I'm his state-mate."

I've decided to add a "Discussion" forum to the site so that we can open up on-going conversations in a more appropriate venue.

Okay, so maybe I didn't have such a great idea...

Well, I just watched Lance leave the starthouse for his TT... crossing my fingers for him...

Give it time. I don't think folks have found this part of the site yet.

I think Lance wants to win today, but it isn't going to happen. I think Wiggo and Contador may have just a little bit on him. Hopefully he does enough to get back on the podium though!

OK, Contador is the man. When I see a skinny little mountain machine knock off a TT beast like Cancellara my skeptical cynical nature says Nah!
Here we go again. I hope that we don't have another 2007 debacle, but I would not be surprised. Lemond's shtick is getting old, and I would hate for him to be correct.
Ventoux is a killer. Saturday will be a two wheeled passion play of suffering. Can't wait!

I am counting the minutes until the stage starts tomorrow. I don't know why though, because I may just watch my man Lance get his backside handed to him. But that eternal optimist in me (Darren, you know what I mean) wants to tune in for the possibilities of a sublime miraculous moment (heavily weighted toward the result I want, of course).

I just feel like Santa Claus is coming in the morning, but I might look up the chimney and see the Grim Reaper.

No matter what, I may have to go to bed early just so it will hurry and arrive. And oh, the irony -- I was so excited about my daughter being in Paris to see Lance win his 8th Tour. She has gone on a field trip to Mont St. Michel and she was "excited about getting out of Paris for the weekend." I don't even think she has seen any of the Tour so far either. Ha! Life is funny.

Allez, Lance!
